小時候每次走過坪石邨,我也被天井的正方形空間吸引著, 想著會有甚麼從這四邊形的空間走出來。藝術家透過空間設計讓觀眾感受走過坪石邨的感受。此外, 作品以回型天井作為主要視覺語言, 觀眾能夠藉著這空間,進行一場想像的對話。房外參觀者的影像會投射在房內正方形的天幕中, 參觀者可坐在天幕下的坐位上「坐井觀天」, 進入廣闊的思考空間。
When I was young, I was always intrigued by the square patio between the twin towers of Ping Shek Estate, wondering what might emerge from this space. I have tried to make use of the techniques of spatial design to create for visitors the atmosphere that people can feel while walking in the estate. What’s more, this work focuses mainly on visual language and sets out to allow visitors to engage in an imaginary conversation. The image of the visitors outside the room is projected onto the ceiling of the square room. Visitors can sit underneath the screen and enjoy the “sky” while immersing themselves in their space of contemplation.
